On a gloomy afternoon, it’s always nice to have a warm cup of coffee. Pair it with a really good cake and a couple of chit-chats, your afternoon might just turn to a “bright” one. One such place that will make this come true is Kuppa Roastery & Café over at Bonifacio Global City.
The place has this very casual feel to it with the elements of brick, wood, metal, and concrete in its interiors. It’s a good place for meeting up with friends, having your first date, or even small family gatherings.
It’s not everyday that you get to drink a Nutcracker Latte. Well, it was just something that stood out for me in their menu so I had to have it. Served in a peculiarly tall mug, this latte had espresso with macadamia nut and hazelnut syrups, hot choco, and steamed milk. Was it good? Oh yes.
Hailed by spot.ph as the 3rd top chocolate lava cake in Manila, their Matt’s Chocolate Cake truly deserves that spot. I agree that it’s more of a cake than a lave one but it’s still very good. Once you slice it, the molten chocolate inside comes out beautifully. I really didn’t mind the strawberry coulis. For me, having the cake and the ice cream was more than enough.
My companions at that time opted for their French Press. It was fun to watch as they pressed down the ground coffee beans to the bottom, poured the freshly brewed coffee to their cups, and enjoyed every sip.
Kuppa’s years of experience does show in every cup. But aside from their coffee choices, they also have a lot to offer in terms of pastries and dishes (which I have yet to try). Plus, everything is reasonably priced. On this note, I look forward to having more cups at this café to brighten my day.
