Really hungry and craving for some sumptuous meals? The Hungry Hound might just be the answer. Their dishes are really luscious that will fill one’s starving tummy.
It really was a “oh-my-goodness-this-is-so-friggin-good” moment for me when I bit into one of the fries. Aside from the duck fat, this had pimenton dulce, rosemary, garlic confit, and parmesan shavings. After having one bite, I’m sure that you’ll be back for more once you’ve tasted this. It’s quite tangy which was probably because of the paprika.
After eating this, I was really stuffed. This can be good for two as the size of the chicken breast was big. The giblet gravy goes well with the chicken and the potato puree. I wasn’t able to eat much of the chorizo walnut stuffing as I think it has raisins in it. I don’t like raisins. The first few bites of this dish were okay but after finishing half of the chicken breast, I got tired. It’s good but next time, I’ll just settle with half a plate of it.
My good friend chose this just to be a little on the healthy side. The broiled salmon sat on a bed of spinach risotto, and had salmon crackling on top. It was drizzled with chili bacon vinaigrette. According to her, this was good. In terms of the serving, this is good for one.
To wash it all off, I chose their Iced Lemon Tea. I think it was a good call that I did as this cleansed my palate for every tasty bite. This drink was good but I find it too expensive. I wish it could have been a refillable one.
This pub+kitchen doesn’t scrimp in terms of ingredients and serving portions. Each dish was carefully prepared for, and the service was really good. The manager even talked to us to ask about our dining experience. In general, their food is expensive given that they use quality ingredients. My fave has to be their Duck Fat Fries. It’s really good and a must try here.
