The Simplicity of Louie – Luis

LLIt was the white signage and ice cream sandwich logo that really caught our attention. Among the busy colored displays of other food stalls, Louie-Luis’s simple decor really stands out.

LL_menuLL_packagingFrom selling their sandwiches at bazaars and Kessaku, they now have a spot at Alabang Town Center’s Food Choices. Though they only have two flavors at the moment, they are going to add flavors soon according to their vendor. Both priced at P50, my friend and I simply had to have this as our dessert.

French Vanilla (P 50)

This was one value-for-money deal. It was good! Though the wafer didn’t possess that crunchy feel, it did blend well with the french vanilla ice cream. The latter had the right amount of sweetness that glides down easily as you take bite after bite.

Belgian Chocolate (P 50)

My friend opted for this, and liked it too. She did say that she tasted some salt in order to maintain the coldness of the ice cream. Same as with the french vanilla, this was satisfyingly sweet.

2 names, 2 flavors, 2 awesome ice cream sandwiches. Yes, this new ice cream sandwich in town is definitely a must try whenever you drop by the south.
