Late on the iHop madness

ihop3I know. I’m a year late on reviewing this but the one here in the far south just opened a few months ago so…yeah, I’m still late.

Hailing from the US, this breakfast restaurant chain has made people here very happy with their array of breakfast treats and of course, their signature pancakes. Let me start of with that.
ihop2For that day, they only have those three syrups to choose from (butter pecan was unavailable). We opted for their old fashioned syrup to top our chosen pancake.

New York Cheesecake Pancakes (P 285)

Fluffy and rich with cheesecake goodness! I like how imperfectly perfect the two buttermilk pancakes came out. This was creamy and flavorful. Topped with syruped strawberries and whipped cream, this was good sans any syrup.

Swiss Mocha (P 145)

We tried out the two variants of IHOP International House Roasted Flavored Coffee: Swiss Mocha and French Vanilla. I was surprised at how big the mug was. That could have been two regular mugs of coffee. Both were just okay. Nothing outstanding in terms of flavor but a good coffee nonetheless.

Original Iced Coffee (P 145)

No whipped cream nor art on this one. And this was good and refreshing.

Specialty Fiesta Chicken Wrap (P 295)

By choosing this, I was trying to be healthy; hence, the bowl of fruits. And I think I succeeded? Haha. This chicken wrap contains grilled chicken, melted cheeses (cheddar and jack), corn, salsa, ranch dressing and lettuce. Though it was a bit hard to eat this (coz it was big), I would probably order this again on my next visit. It was very flavorful with all the ingredients blending well on one’s palate. Really good 🙂

Tilapia Florentine (P 295)

This was just okay. There’s something about that fish that doesn’t sit well with me. It’s atop a bed of spinach in Alfredo sauce. Despite of pairing it with that, there was something weird about the overall flavor.

ihop_facadeIt’s never too late to jump in on this madness. Gather your family, head on to the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), and have a madly good time.
