Let’s go to á cafe

a_4We were supposed to eat Mexican cuisine for lunch. When we got off the cab, we were told by the guard that the resto opens at 5pm. Who’s fault was it? Mine. 😦 I forgot to ask the resto’s operating hours. As the name of the area suggests, we were at a sudden crossroad. Where do we dine? We were hungry and in dire need of food. And then we chanced upon this café.

a_2a_3a_1a_lightsThe façade of the restaurant doesn’t tell much what’s inside but once you’re in, the design is pretty sleek and homey. I especially liked the spiderlike lights on the ceiling.

Eggs Benedict
Eggs Benedict

a_eggsben2a_eggsben3Hello there eggs ben! You can either choose spinach or salmon as the bed for the poached eggs but I chose the latter. I really like how the eggs came out. It was perfectly poached as the yolk came out beautifully. The smoked salmon was okay but I felt that it was overcooked. I found it too flaky as I prefer my salmon to be silky to match the whole dish.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger
Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger

a_chixI had a taste of this chicken, and it was good. It had the right crisp to it. The fries that came along with the dish matches this burger well.

a_facadeThough the meals were quite pricey (sorry, forgot to list the prices), food and service was good. This is a good place to have brunch with few friends or with your family.

Though this wasn’t our original plan, I’m glad of this detour as we found good eats at this crossroad. 🙂
