The place is somewhat decked with the color red. Crystal chandeliers, white regal chairs, and gold details make this place grand and fit for a royalty. Amidst all those Halloween decors, their desserts and pastries still stay as the centerpiece. Now on to their sumptuous dishes!
My meal of choice was their Baked Salmon Florentine which came with this very flavorful rice. I don’t know if it was just me but the rice was smooth. Lying on a bed of spinach, the baked salmon was creamy topped with some herbs that paired well with the rice. It was a good thing that the spinach was there to balance out the dish’s creaminess. Overall, this was one good creamy dish!
I was pleasantly surprised at the serving of this one. This could actually be good for two as a light snack. For me, this is what a veggie lasagna should be. The layers had the proper amount of filling that it’s not overwhelming on one’s palate. It does look like it’s oozing with cheese but everything was just right.
Paired with plain rice, the chicken here was so tender that it could fall off from its bone. It’s probably due to the slow cooked process this went through. In all its simplicity (just cooked in olive oil, herb de provence, garlic cloves and potatoes), it was very flavorful.
Hailed as the best mango sansrival circa 2001, I’m hailing it still as the best out there. Yeah, I have super hailing royalty powers! But seriously, just look at the layers of that cake. Some would overdo it with the buttercream icing but this one was just right. The cashew meringue layers still had that crunch, and the sliced mangoes were quite fresh and sweet. It was pure heaven bite after bite.
To pair our amazing dishes, we had their recommended Match Green Tea Latte (which I had to stop myself from drinking or else none of it would be left!). It was creamy, slightly sweet yet preserving the taste of the matcha green tea. One good drink indeed!
What astounds me about this place is how it’s able to give both quality cakes, pastries and dishes. There are few restaurants that I know that are able to pull this off. Though the meals are pricey, you know that you’re paying for great quality food. Service was good. The ambiance is just perfect for family gatherings, get together with friends, and dates. For sure, you won’t have any spooky moments here. Again, just pure great food and ambiance. 😉
