Might have experienced a little heartache on this one. Might have had a little more pressure on my blood pressure. Might have had my cholesterol on a high for that afternoon. But you know what, it was well worth it. I mean, if you’re given a chance to go on a bagnet spree, would you say no?
Set in the outskirts of Makati City, this place feels cozy and homey. It seems to be an old home turned to a resto. Decorwise, it has a lot of references to the restaurant and seems to pay homage to the dish. It has a very casual feel that’s perfect for quick lunch getaways or after night chill outs.
All their budget meals are paired with soup and rice. But the serving on this one didn’t seem budget at all. They didn’t scrimp on the main dish. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, it stayed true to what a bagnet should be.
Our group of six then tried out their other bagnet concoctions. Below was the madness that ensued.
When you think about it, the meat in the supposed dish was just replaced with the bagnet. That was the main twist and interesting take on the dishes. The meat was crispy and juicy same as with the original one. The standout dishes for me were the Bagnet Sisig and the Kare-Kare Bagnet. I liked how the former packed up some heat while the latter was quite tasty with the kare-kare sauce seeping into the pork bits.
A good way to cap the whole madness. And yes, the mangoes were very sour! Just perfect to dip in the shrimp paste. 😛
Customers do come and go by this place just for their bagnet. A testament to how delicious their dishes are. Plus, their meals are affordable and very friendly to one’s budget. So if you’re going to go on a bagnet madness spree, make this your one and only stop. Get your blood pumping and cholesterol on a high (just for a day okay?) on their bagnet dishes. 🙂
