St. Marc Café: More than just Chococros

st-marc-cafe-3Ever since this dessert café opened here in the Philippines, I was waiting for it to open in a place that’s near me. I sure would like to drop by Mega Fashion Hall at SM Megamall but I have to be realistic, that’s just far from where I live! So when I saw this tarpaulin at Greenbelt 2, I was stoked. Time to try those Chococros and more. 😉

I was very fond of the lights which were made from white upside down cups and saucers. It blended well with the somewhat dark interiors of the place. Upon entry, you’d be greeted by the neatly stacked pastries and ice cream displays. And of course, the Chococros were there too.

Good thing for the freebie as the dish was bland for me. It looks yummy with the right amount of sauce but I found it to be lacking in flavor.

Carbonara (P 300)

st-marc-cafe-carbonara-1Their Carbonara fared better. It had more taste than the Pomodoro one. Good thing this came with a free White Chococro too.

This had good flavor though it was sweet nearing the end. I guess one should mix this in with the other flavors rather than per layer.

st-marc-cafe-chococro-1The Chococros is really what we came here for. The Chococro Marble was a mix of matcha and white choco. I liked the combination of the two flavors. The white one was pretty good too. But hands down, the original Chococro is the clear winner of the bunch. It was served warm so the chocolate inside was a bit melted. The outer crusty layer was a bit sweet that was further enhanced by the choco bits inside. Topped with some nuts, I really enjoyed eating this one. 🙂

Below are the other pastries that we had which were pretty good.

st-marc-cafe-iced-teaTo wash it off, below are the drinks that we had. The Iced Tea was really just tea that was iced. No sugar added. They do give out this syrup should you want to make it sweet.

Iced Matcha Latte (Large: P170)
Iced Matcha Latte (Large: P170)

st-marc-cafe-iced-matcha-latte-1I loved this! I had a feeling that I was gonna love it so I ordered the large size. It was a bit milky yet still retained the matcha flavor. Matcha lovers out there, you just might love/like this. 🙂

st-marc-cafe-6Their pastries and drinks were outstanding though I couldn’t say the same with their dishes. But it’s good to know that this isn’t just a café that serves chococros. Their other pastries and drinks deserve some highlight too. Despite the crowd that time, service was still good. The staff was very pleasant in assisting our orders. Surely, I’d go back here for some of that Iced Matcha Latte coupled with their Chococro. 😛
