See what I did there? “Let’s C” as in “let’s see”? Haha. Yeah…but the food here is definitely no joking matter. Just by stepping foot on this restaurant will instantly make you feel that you’ve come to the right Italian place. Now, it’s really time to see what C’ Italian Dining has to offer.
I felt like I was entering an elegant house with all the gold details and paintings. It’s one very classy place that’s perfect for date nights or casual wine dinners with your buddies. They have seats outside overlooking Salcedo Park. Their seats are plush with this little corner that has a couch. And that little corner is good for small private events. It can probably fit to less than 20 people. An amusing addition to this place are the signed plates. I wasn’t able to go through each but I did see some celebrities’ signatures on some. The place is quite grandiose but don’t let that intimidate you! Food is affordable compared to other Italian restaurants out there.
Never had an Italian Soda before so I was pretty curious and excited to try this. With a slight fizz, this drink was good and cool.
Coining the panizza term (and even copyrighting it), our group was able to taste the different offers of this. A panizza is close to being a pizza but really thin enough that you can roll it over. But before rolling it, it’s advisable to place in arugula and alfalfa sprouts. The final product: something that looks like the one below.
The first panizza of the night: Angelico. With some chorizo, salami, bacon and mushroom, this was my fave among the panizza served that night. Well, it’s all thanks to that bacon which you can really taste in this one.
The last of the panizza pack: Rolls Royce. Not sure on the history of its name but it does seem grand with the salami, scallop flakes, shrimp and sundried tomatoes. Taste was pretty good with a good flavor of the seafood added in.
To be honest, I was a bit scared when this was served. My fellow foodies said that the truffle smell was strong on this one that you could instantly sense it. Once this was served on our table, yep, the smell was there. I then worried about its taste with the truffle overpowering the dish. Surprisingly, this tasted really good. The cream was enough that the you could still taste the truffle in the sauce. The addition of prosciutto slices gave that good balance to this pasta dish.
Doesn’t it look lovely! I waited for this before heading back to the office. Was it worth the wait? Kinda. We requested for it to be cooked medium but we should probably had it done medium rare. Slices were still very tender despite the rub not totally sinking in the meat. The caramelized onion roasted potatoes and rapini were a good pair to the lamb ribs.
And I finally saw and tasted the offers at this Italian joint! I’ve been eyeing this one for some time but was intimadated to enter it. But thanks to Zomato, I finally got the chance to do so! As my fellow Zomans and I enjoyed the night here, a 2nd visit with my other folks will sure to happen sometime in the future. Dishes are affordable and the service is pretty good. Ambiance wise, perfect for lunch but better to relax and dine at night.
