Stella in the afternoon

stella-wood-fired-bistro-3Thanks to Stella Wood Fired Bistro, Gifted’s event became a food-filled one. I really was expecting some light snacks but this turned out to be an early dinner for me! 🙂

stella-wood-fired-bistro-9The place was big enough to hold the intimate event. It has a modern vintage feel to it when it comes to its interiors. Their lighting was warm that just relaxes you and makes your dining experience better.

Salsa Guacamole & Chips (P 350)

Fried Mushroom Chips (P 195)
Fried Mushroom Chips (P 195)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-fried-mushroom-chips-1I was only able to try the Fried Mushroom Chips. It was easy for me because the servers placed it right in front of me. Destiny perhaps? Haha. And let me tell you, it was GOOD. It wasn’t the usual crunchy type of chip. It had soft spots that makes you feel that mushroom texture. It was good on its own with hints of salt but better if dipped in the served garlic cream cheese dip.

Crispy Honey Walnut Beef & Arugula Salad (P 350)
Crispy Honey Walnut Beef & Arugula Salad (P 350)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-crispy-honey-walnut-beef-&-arugula-salad-1Upon first bite (and even its aroma), I immediately tasted its kick. No wonder for this had spicy gochujang dressing. Even its color was a dead giveaway to its taste. Mixed in with the nashi pear and gorgonzola bits, this was one fresh, spicy and light salad.

Butcher's Best Pizza (P 375)
Butcher’s Best Pizza (P 375)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-butcher's-best-pizza-1I was surprised that this was their all meat pizza. It doesn’t seem that meaty to me (or maybe I’m used to other meat-laden pizzas). In terms of taste, it was just okay.

Garlic Bianca Pizza (P 350)
Garlic Bianca Pizza (P 350)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-garlic-bianca-pizza-1I preferred this slice than the other one. I liked its light and fresh taste which is probably because of the baby spinach.

Black Pepper Crab Cream Pasta (P 295)
Black Pepper Crab Cream Pasta (P 295)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-black-pepper-crab-cream-pasta-1This seemed creamy at first but its taste was good. Not that creamy that you could taste hints of the crab in it.

Housemade Chorizo and Garlic Spaghetti (P 295)
Housemade Chorizo and Garlic Spaghetti (P 295)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-housemade-chorizo-and-garlic-spaghetti-1As opposed to the other pasta, this for me had a stronger flavor. Well, this one had chorizo so it does take centerstage without overpowering the whole dish.

Norwegian Salmon (P 595)
Norwegian Salmon (P 595)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-norwegian-salmon-2I really liked this one. The salmon was cooked perfectly with the skin having that crisp sound. It really did! When you slice it, you could really hear its skin crackling. As for the fish, it was juicy and cooked well. You could either mix it in with the almond pesto or sundried tomatoes.

Butterflied Bacon & Rosemary Wrapped Chicken (P 595)
Butterflied Bacon & Rosemary Wrapped Chicken (P 595)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-butterflied-bacon-&-rosemary-wrapped-chickenIt’s one of those “but wait, there’s more!” kind of days. I thought that the salmon would be the last but they saved this one: Butterflied Bacon & Rosemary Wrapped Chicken. It was so tender and juicy that having no gravy (it was served with roasted chicken liver & cream gravy) could very well be an option.

The Stella Sip (P 125)
The Stella Sip (P 125)

stella-wood-fired-bistro-the-stella-sip-1To wash it all off, this drink was served which consisted of four red fruits & lemon honey. I found it to be too tangy at first so I really had to stir it to somehow melt the ice. I found it to be refreshing after the ice melted.

stella-wood-fired-bistroI guess this is how Stella is in the afternoon. Whatever meal you choose, I bet it’s gonna be filling. Some of their dishes are meant for sharing either for long heartfelt talks or even for intimate events. Whatever time you choose to dine here, it will surely be a filling and satisfying one.
