The Yakitori One Countdown

And the countdown was on! Well, the countdown before the movie started. What movie you may ask? Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Oh yeah! 😀 You could tell that I was pretty stoked for this. Good thing that my dad and I were still able to get seats for the cinema was full. No wonder there because this really was the much-awaited movie of 2015. But this wasn’t the only countdown for that day. It was also on too for this yakitori joint at SM Aura’s Food on Four.

Their food choices are pretty clear. You could opt to just snack on any of their yakitori sticks or have it with rice.

Takoyaki (P 98/stick)

We really missed the takoyaki back in Osaka. I had to set my expectations on this because nothing can compare to the original one. Surprisingly, this was good. It had good amount of meat inside and was flavorful.

Salmon Belly (P 60/stick)

I didn’t like that there was fat on this but for P60, that is one steal price for salmon.

Chicken Don #5 (P 228)

This was my meal for that day. It consisted of Chicken Onion Leek, Chicken Bell Pepper and Chicken Thigh. The chicken meat was really tender and the sauce was just spot on. The onion leek pieces were a tough to chew on but the rest was a-okay.

Chicken Karaage (P 168)

I was surprised that their karaage was good. Being that it’s a yakitori restaurant, they served up good karaage. It does lean on being a bit salty so the sauce that came with it was a good balance to that flavor.

Overall, this joint was good. It was fairly priced as you get meals that would fill your tummy. And the sauce was just really good. If I could, I would probably douse my meal with that. Haha. With a fast service and clear-cut menu, gear up for some Yakitori One countdown.
