After a hard day’s work or most probably a weeklong one, you just want to relax and basically do nothing. Or do something enjoyable to reward yourself. Whatever that reward is, it just makes you want to exclaim “ah…this is the good life!”. For me, this was the reward. Ah…this is buona vita!
Yes, it’s that pizza that you had to add alfalfa sprouts and roll in. Not a legit Italian dish but it very well should be. Consisting of Italian bacon, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, it was very tasty and filling.
When I saw pistachio, I knew this was for me. I haven’t had many raviolis in this lifetime but I must say, this was pretty good. The ravioli pieces were shaped like a hat and was a little thick. But I guess it was intentional to balance the filling inside which had pistachio, sage and butter sauce. I need not to look for that pistachio flavor as it was rightly added in the whole dish.
With all the flavorful dishes we had, I had to somehow wash it off. Though it took some time to serve this, it was a good brewed coffee.
I wanted to try a different dessert but it was unavailable. I then had to settle for this: Tiramisu. They say to never settle but hey, if it’s tiramisu, you just agree. It was good and somehow a bit chocolatey. Not in a sweet kind of way but the right kind. It was very smooth and good to cap one’s dining adventure here.
Overall, the dining experience was okay. Yes, there are other Italian restos that deserve much highlight but the location of this is pretty good. Service was really good too. Perfect for those “I just want to reward myself” moments anytime of the day.
