This was my 2nd time trying patbingsu. I know I know…there are lots here in Manila. My first time wasn’t even here! Yes, shame on me. Haha. But with the hot weather outside, this was just the perfect snack to cool off.
I distinctly remember this place having a different name before. I read a couple of reviews before going in and found out that they separated from the other place. Not sure how legitimate that was but hey, shaved ice is shaved ice. I think the interiors were still the same which I found to be elegantly charming. They have lots of seats for their diners.
No coffee yet in my bloodstream so this was a must! It was good though it’s probably not a good pair for such a cold treat.
And this was surprisingly not that sweet. The chocolate milk snow was just smooth. I liked the brownie and nut bits on this.
To be honest, I had my doubts ordering this. But since it was one of their bestsellers, I said “what the heck!”. And man…that was a good call! I liked this better than the other one. It tasted fresh in a sense. I liked the cheese bits which I had my doubts on. The combination of cheese and mango made sense here. One would never get tired getting bite after bite.
Servings of their single order are good for sharing. Two to three persons could share that order. Aside from their patbingsu, they have other sweet treats such as cakes and pastries to fill one’s sweet tooth. Service was quite fast too. It’s the perfect snack on a hot weather on this side of the south.
