Despite the hot weather, people here still flock to grab some ramen. I guess it offers a different kind of warmth. The kind that leaves you satisfied and comforted after. And yes, I just had to agree with this new ramen shop, Sigekiya.
I don’t normally go to restaurants that go on soft opening. I just feel that I won’t have a good judgement on the service or food that they offer. I’d rather they go on full swing operations than get a not-so-good service. Well, this was an exception. Aside from the good service, the food was very good. Though the food was served a little late and opened a little late, it was instantly masked by their service and food. Their interiors were very simple and the table were equally spaced from the next. And by the time we got there, the place was really packed.

Without even dipping in the sauce, this was flavorful all on its own! The pork slice was very tender and the sauce just gave this slight sweetness to it. It was so good that we ordered another round!

A must-pair for ramen! This didn’t disappoint. It had a crispy bottom yet retaining all that moisture and flavor inside.

This was my dad’s pick. And if you guessed that the broth is thick, it was! One sip of this and the umami just bursts out! If you’re not up for a regular sized ramen, you could opt for a small at P190 or medium at P400. You could also adjust the spiciness level (up to a 100! Say whuuuttt 😯).

And I must confess…I’ve never had tsukemen. There are a lot of dishes that I haven’t tried yet and this was one of them. I pondered on getting their regular tsukemen but this one just intrigued me. It said that it had this fish flavor and was a popular choice among their regular diners in Yokohama. When it was finally served, I was brimming with excitement. I must say, this was GOOD 😃. I liked how the cold noodles balanced with the piping hot broth. The broth was very flavorful and thick. The fish taste was infused well in it.

I’m glad this ramen shop from Yokohama was brought here. During this time, the ramen master was overseeing the place so everything was absolutely delicious. I liked that there were few choices with the option of choosing what size for your ramen or tsukemen. With the place packed and people waiting outside, this ramen place truly shows a lot of promise.
