They have both indoor and outdoor seating with the latter having more space. It is common to have the indoor seating to be bigger but I bet this place just lights up at night. The interiors itself was very open with a rough yet smooth feel. It’s the perfect setting for some family bonding or barkada night outs.
It’s rainy season over here in the Philippines yet the weather is still hot! We went here for late lunch and had to cool ourselves with these drinks. They have two mocktails, namely, Cucumber Lime Cooler and Apple Lime Cooler. I got the Samalamig (Sago’t Gulaman) which refreshed me. I could’ve drank the whole glass but I wanted to reserve it until the end of the meal. 😛
We were feeling healthy that day. But halfway through our dishes, we ordered another serving! Haha. The portion of this was about 1 & 1/2 cup so it’s actually good for one especially if you’re hungry. 😉
Instead of the usual soup consistency of this dish, they made it into a gravy. Was it a success? YES! I was amazed at how the sourness of the dish was maintained in that thick gravy-like sauce. The beef short ribs was very tender. The tomatoes just popped. The beans still had that crunch. I liked the garlic on this as it wasn’t that garlicky in a sense. The clove was placed uncrushed with the outer layer intact. When you open it, the garlic itself was of the mashed kind. The same can be said for the onions. The outer layer was intact too but really cooked well with a soft consistency. Overall, their version of sinigang would still comfort anyone on any season. 😉
And this complements the sourness of their Sizzling Sinigang. This dish was on the sweet side which veers away from the usual spicy Gising Gising. All the vegetables were cooked well and still had that crunch too. Same as with the other dishes, the tomatoes, garlic and onions had the same consistency.
It is advisable to reserve your seats here. My friend and I took our chances here and was number 4 on the list. Service was top-notch as they will assist you all throughout your dining experience. Aside from their fantastic dishes, they have a good list of drinks too. Their dishes are apt for drinking sessions and even the environment too. If only this wasn’t far from my place, this would be a regular hang-out venue for my buddies and I. 🙂
