The Nishiki Tenman-gu Shrine Stumble

nishiki-tenman-gu-shrineWe were supposed to go to another place after this. But we didn’t know that this area was more than just a market. The Teramachi Shopping District is indeed heaven for those who love to shop. We just scanned a couple of stores. As we walked along, we stumbled upon this small but busy temple.

I bet it outshines its surrounding environment. Fun and interesting fact: according to this site, “it has turned away from being a shrine of scholarship and literature, and is instead a shrine dedicated to love.” That’s such a nice thought to ponder while visiting this place. 🙂
