We were supposed to go to another place after this. But we didn’t know that this area was more than just a market. The Teramachi Shopping District is indeed heaven for those who love to shop. We just scanned a couple of stores. As we walked along, we stumbled upon this small but busy temple.
It might be small but once you step inside, it dilutes the noise of the busy shopping street. I heard that it’s beautiful at night where all the lanterns are lit up. I bet it outshines its surrounding environment. Fun and interesting fact: according to this site, “it has turned away from being a shrine of scholarship and literature, and is instead a shrine dedicated to love.” That’s such a nice thought to ponder while visiting this place. 🙂
