The Kissako Uji Matcha Cafe Stop

At this point, I am missing all the matcha treats I had in Japan. Yes, the posts shall continue and my longing will linger. Good thing there are places here in Manila that offer authentic matcha treats. And one such place lies in the food haven called Kapitolyo.

The place was very minimalist and clean. I guess it has something to do with the dominant white flooring and other white details. Other colors such as black, green and brown stand out from that canvas. They have a couple of seats outside and inside as well.

Matcha Shortcake (P 170)

Surprisingly not sweet and smooth to the taste! The layers were rightly fluffy. I especially liked the frosting as you can really feel the matcha taste. And yes, it was very smooth.

Iced Matcha Latte (Medium at P140, Large at P170)

Hot Matcha Latte (P 160)

Cafe latte art’s got nothin’ on this! But it’s such a cutie pie right? Hahaha. I really was ecstatic when I saw my cup. My friend had the iced one which really cooled her off. Despite the hot weather, I wanted the hot version. I feel that I could really feel that matcha taste more there, and I did. Though I wish a stirrer was served (the matcha powder lingered at the bottom), it was still all good. I liked the mix of milk and matcha. Aside from tea, they have other drink concoctions too.Β Β And yes, that includes coffee. πŸ˜‰

This place is one good location to relax after a full heavy meal. Either through heartfelt conversations or quick business meetings, you’ll surely feel warm or cool all over with their yummy offers. πŸ™‚

  1. Looks pretty awesome.

  2. Is this located near Brixton Street (where Heima is)? πŸ™‚ I’ve seen Pioneer Center a couple of times already, but I haven’t really been inside the compound though.
