And this is another one of those restos that I haven’t tried despite of its local branches in the Philippines. Let’s blame it on my schedule. Haha. But on a seemingly tiresome night, this restaurant caught my eye. We were looking for a place to dine in and satisfy our grumbling tummies. Time to check the heat this curry house packs.
This branch had two floors. We decided to seat at their 2nd floor as it seemed more relaxing up there. It housed their manga comics which signals some bonding alone time. Or maybe with a couple of friends.
This was probably the sweet curry among the bunch. The curry taste wasn’t as strong as I expected.
Now this packed that heat I was looking for. The pork cutlet was tender and the veggies were cooked well too.
Not sure what they meant when they said “handmade”? It really makes you wonder right? Haha. For the taste, it did pack that heat too that I was looking for in a curry. It made my face blush actually. Being the chicken person that I am, this sat well with me. The chicken slices were indeed tender. And I liked how the spinach balanced it out.
You can add a couple of drops (or multiple ones in my case) and the flavor will just change. It made it less spicy for some reason. I would suggest to not drown your dish with this so as to still taste that curry heat.
This was a good stop for us. Good thing its yellow signage shone from across the street. To be honest, one would get lost in the curry choices that they have. I had trouble choosing my dish. Its interesting how the taste is different from each yet still has that distinct Japanese curry taste that I love. With branches all over Japan, let this curry house fire up your tummies with its tasty curry dishes. 🙂
