There have been a lot of healthy eats popping in the metro. I’ve always wanted to try one but the opportunity to do so never presented itself. During the Zomato foodie meet-up last month, we were handed with Zomato vouchers. Yeah…one of the perks of being a foodie! I have never tried the online order function in the app so this was a good chance for me to do so. So how does Zomato’s online order work?
So I used the app on my phone. But you could try it also on their website. Once in the app, you just click on “Order Food”. It’ll show the list of restaurants they’ve partnered with where you can order some yummy treats.
The app can automatically detect your location. You can also manually input it. As you can see on the screenshot, it listed down all the restaurants nearby.
And I chose Juju Eats! I’ve always wanted to try this one out. It listed down all the information such as delivery time, minimum order and payment option. I can still check out the reviews and photos before heading to the Online Ordering Menu. Once in that portion, I can choose dishes that I want to have delivered.
Once I chose my order, it has an option to add toppings. This was actually unique to the restaurant. And Zomato adapted to it! Now time to go to my cart. 🙂
By this time, I have placed my mobile number and address (which I have removed here for personal reasons 😉 ). This portion gives me a summary of my orders and the quantity & price for each. This doesn’t include the delivery fee yet which shall be shown in the next section.
This lists the final total price. Now all I have to do is click that button that says “tap to place order”.
By this time, Zomato crew is coordinating with Juju Eats to deliver my goods. The fun thing about this is that I do get updates on the status of my order.
Pretty neat right! In case I need any clarification on my order, I can simply click on the “Chat With Zomato Support”. I tried it out, and they reply fast.
Before I knew it, my order was at my office doorstep. Now time to try this eat out! 🙂
This coldpress drink had grapefruit, pineapple, coconut water and Himalayan Salt. When I read the last ingredient, I was thinking that it wouldn’t be salty. That I would hardly taste it. Upon first sip, I was surprised that it was very much present in the drink! The whole mix was good but I do advise to drink this really cold. Or with some ice. True to its claim, it did give me that boost of energy.
I just had to try their bestselling red rice bowl which is this: Miso Chicken Red Rice Bowl. With some herb chicken, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, corn, sesame seeds and of course, red rice, this was surprisingly good. I drizzled all that sesame miso dressing and instantly finished this up. It was very filling yet I felt light after. I never knew healthy food could be this good! 😛
They have lots of dishes that one could choose from. It was unfortunate that I never got to try their dessert but I surely will in the future. Yes, I’m sensing repeat orders from this one. Of course, I’ll be using Zomato’s online order for that. I really liked their order process. It was pretty straightforward. Plus, I can track the status of my order. A very nifty app that makes me want to order at other establishments too. But of course, a repeat order at Juju Eats is must. 😉
