Admiring the Meiji Shrine

meiji-shrine-2Dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken, this shrine is truly majestic. It stands at 12 meters that it’s the biggest wooden Myojin Style torii. Some areas of the path towards the shrine was unpaved which makes for a good trek there.

meiji-shrine-26There were a couple of seats inside the shrine where one could rest. It wasn’t as busy as the others. Some restorations were being made at the front which goes to show how much they treasure this complex. With a prayer in heart coupled with aspirations, this is a good place to offer these and reflect on too.
