Been here a couple of times during our family trip. It was unavoidable as our accommodation was situated at this busy side of Tokyo. With all the engaging sounds here, could one really fall asleep? With all the fancy lights, would one be able to resist staring at it? And with that magical chaos that is the “scramble”, wouldn’t you just want to take a video of it? My body was alive, my eyes were wide open, and I took a video. Yes, joining in on this crossing just had to be crossed off my bucket list.
The progression of this magic is like a ticking clock. All the corners had to wait for the signal to turn green. When the light turns that hue, every second required a step from each individual of every corner. It happens so fast but this organized madness can still be captured. Just turn that burst mode on to make every second count.
This crossing gets photographed a lot. It’s simply iconic. Perfect spot to take a photo? Right at that Starbucks Coffee Q Front Building branch. It does get crowded where people don’t even have to buy a drink. I do encourage you to purchase one. Their Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino is just a must-try when in Japan. π
