All these travels just make me want to travel more! You get to see new sights, educate yourself and of course, sample some really tasty dishes. There’s still a lot to explore but all that planning, packing and budgeting just takes time. Good thing that this buffet restaurant at this prestigious hotel makes having delicious international dishes easy. The food here just transports you to another place! 🙂
Situated at the 24th floor, the room was very well-lit. Its interiors exude this elegant yet comfortable feel to welcome their guests. I especially liked the light fixtures for I just find them peculiar in a very good way.
Offered until September 4, 2016, Marco Polo takes its guests to “All Things Swiss”! So if you want to take one gastronomical journey to Switzerland, allow Marco Polo’s Cucina to transport you in that journey! 😉
Bringing in 30 years of vast international experience, Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel Executive Chef, Rolf Jaeggi, is coming to Manila to celebrate the All Things Swiss with the hotel. He is a Swiss borne culinary expert who has been specializing in Swiss cuisine for the whole duration of his experience.
Indulge in a wide selection of Swiss dishes for a food festival at the all-day dining restaurant, Cucina, in partnership with Werdenberg International. Enjoy these as if dining along the Swiss Alps. Delight in a chocolate buffet featuring only the finest pralines. This delicious culinary experience can be enjoyed from Monday to Thursday, at Php 1,500 for lunch buffet and Php 1,800 for dinner buffet. Celebrate the festival on a weekend from Friday to Sunday, at Php 2,300 for lunch buffet and Php 2,650 for dinner buffet. Special gifts from Turkish Airlines and Victorinox await lucky guests.
The delicacy does not stop as Café Pronto lets it guests discover a wide variety of the confectionary dessert with a showcase of the finest pralines. Boxes of 3, 6, and 12 are available for purchase.
I couldn’t recall having legitimate Swiss food. I guess if I did, it didn’t make that much of an impression. So having this was one sweet deal! The dishes are simple and simply comforting. Most Swiss dishes contained cheese or potatoes which I just find to be hearty. Below are some of their offers with the dishes served on their buffet section.
Aside from going all Swiss, Cucina offers other international dishes too to cater to their guests. Veering away from the usual serve-as-many-as-you-can buffets, focus here is more on quality than quantity. They also want their diners to try all of the dishes which it makes it possible given the choices they have. Changed on a daily basis, one truly has an exciting eating journey here! 🙂
I only had bits of almost everything, and boy was I full! I mostly concentrated on their Swiss offers but their other dishes were just good! I couldn’t choose a fave. Haha. Normally, buffet restaurants confuse me. There are just too many choices that some are a miss. For this, all were hits for me! Though their unlimited iced tea and wine buffet (yes…wine all you can!) have separate fees, it’s still worth to try either.
So if you’re looking for a quick dining getaway in the city, let Marco Polo’s Cucina be your choice. Whether it is for All Things Swiss or an around-the-world kind of dining journey, you’ll surely have a grand time with this buffet restaurant’s delicious dishes. 🙂
