The Curator by day

I have been meaning to drop by this cafe/bar ever since I heard news of it last last year.Β I was able to see it at night where it turned to a speakeasy bar. But I never got around trying their drinks as my buddies and I headed to a diff. place. This time around, I finally got to try their offers. And yes, it’s those offers available during the day.

This not-so-hidden cafe/bar might be a little hard to search. I said not-so-hidden as they’re pretty famous not just for their coffee but especially for their cocktails (which I must try soon). There’s no clear sign as it is tucked at this building in Legaspi Village. Once inside, a different aura welcomes you. It has this rough, casual and comforting vibe that would make you want to spend the day or night away. Its very well-lit during the day but at night, it could get pretty dim.

Milo Chocolate Chip Cookie (P100)

Noma Chocolate Chip Cookie (P100)

Their cookie offers depends on their supplier. For me, that’s a good sign as they ensure to serve quality cookies. I was able to taste the Milo one which tasted much of that chocolate drink. It didn’t gear on being sweet and was smooth on my palate. As for the Noma, it had this dark chocolate taste which was also good.

We Love Legazpi Breakfast (P280)
Cranberry Walnut Bread
Poached Egg

This was one of those times where I was glad to have not taken my breakfast yet. Why? Well, just look at their breakfast offer! I had the choice of either having that butter, jam and poached egg with some croissant but I opted for their Cranberry Walnut one. That was recommended too by one of their baristas. The whole meal was a good combination for one hearty and yummy breakfast.

Dark Matter Theory Espresso with Milk (P140)

Purple Haze Espresso with Milk (P140)

They had two options for their coffee that day, namely, Dark Matter Theory and Purple Haze. I had the latter which had blueberry notes in it. It was very smooth and gearing on being light. It was the perfect partner to my breakfast. πŸ™‚

Wish my friends and I stayed here longer. Aside from their very chill atmosphere, the service was impeccable. The baristas wouldn’t mind helping you out with your order. I saw a couple of diners just chatting with them as if they’re old friends. Whether it’s a day or a night visit, I bet they already have regulars just enjoying their offers and the company too. πŸ™‚
