Staying awake for Luna Specialty Coffee

Whenever I feel really sleepy, coffee has always been my go-to energizer. I guess it’s a no-brainer drink for others too. There’s just something about those beans that will get you through the day. Whether you’re feeling sleepy, sad, happy or what-have-you, coffee is just always a good idea. Okay..my addiction is showing. Haha. As much as life is short that you have to stay awake for it, staying awake for Luna Specialty Coffee is really just a must.

I have been meaning to visit their branch over at BGC but couldn’t find the time to do so. Good thing they opened far down south which is nearer to where I live. Their branch here was quite small though their outdoor seating is perfect for big groups. Inside, the ambiance feels cozy and just perfect for solo sessions. Outside, it felt very open and free. My friend and I opted to sit outside as the weather was just right: a bit sunny and windy.

Grilled Cheese (P 120)

Negros Muscovado Cold Brew Latte

This was my friend’s picks which you could get at PhP 220. That’s their daily merienda offer (sandwich & coffee) which is a steal if you ask me. I was able to taste both. Their grilled cheese was very simple and an honest-to-goodness sandwich. It paired well with the taste of their cold brew latte. Since I was having their cappuccino that time, it kind of muted the flavor for me. But it’s still enjoyable for that afternoon.

Chicken Adobo Grilled Sandwich (P 125) and Cappuccino

As the title of this post suggests, I needed to stay awake for this; hence, the cappuccino. I have been a bit lethargic the past few weeks that I needed this dose of caffeine to keep me awake. Did it do the trick? Oh yes! I loved the flavor of this coffee which gave me that boost. It paired well with the very tasty Grilled Chicken Adobo Sandwich. I was surprised at its filling as its ratio with the bread was just right. It’s really good as a snack for that afternoon.

One may not instantly find this as its somewhat hidden at this building. There are a few signages but not the in-your-face kind. I do think that it doesn’t need that kind of advertising. With their delicious offers at reasonable prices, this would quickly get the hype by word of mouth. Aside from their daily merienda offer, they also have a daily lunch meal where you can get their rice meal with coffee for P250. And I heard their rice meals are good. Can’t wait to try that one out. I’ll surely stay awake for that. πŸ˜‰
