That RBCTY Goodness

May it be a Friday or a Saturday night, it’s always nice to chill with your buddies over some really good food. Food of choice? Something that’s savory, affordable and absolutely delicious! It just gets the bonding and good stories started. Good thing we were welcomed by this city where good food ย is the number one priority. ๐Ÿ™‚

It was indeed a boulevard of rib dreams. But before we get to their amazing food, let’s talk about the place first. In terms of seating capacity, it could seat a lot. One could even hold events here especially outdoors where it’s the perfect location for a jamming session. The vibe was very chill with a couple of good alternative rock songs in the background. I liked its raw feel with having that finished-unfinished touch. I especially liked their wall with those photos, which according to the owner, are photos of her friends. She loves getting her friends to try out their dishes and getting their feedback. Deemed as citizens of rib city, they were definitely caught rib-handed. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not Just Nachos (P 248)

These are definitely not your ordinary nachos. It was one flavorful starter to get the bonding going. Not sure how the meat was prepared on this but it veered from the usual ground meat type. That’s the one that stood out for me as it made this dish extraordinary.

Big City Mix (P 838)
Red Iced Tea

Red Iced Tea, Lemon Iced Tea and Citrus Green Iced Tea

BBQ Sauce
Gravy
Mashed Tato
Awesome Wings

We opted for their Big City Mix which was a combination of ribs, 4 awesome wings, 4 side eats and 4 drinks. Since we were only three that night, we just had them served those colorful and refreshing iced tea choices. If you’re not into tea, you could also have this mix with some soft drinks. We tried their CTY Rice which could be likened to java rice. Its flavor wasn’t that strong but I guess that’s okay. It could take away the highlight from the paired tasty meats. I did like their Mashed ‘Tato which was just creamy and delectable. There was no need for gravy on that one. As for the chicken, it was really good. It was fried well with having that crunchy exterior and juicy meat inside. For the main dish, their ribs were definitely GOOD. Wait, scratch that. GREAT. Just great! ๐Ÿ˜€ Call me biased for loving ribs or anything with barbecue but I kid you not when I say it was really good. It was very tender that it was easy to take the meat off the bone. The marinade, which was the recipe of the owner’s dad, had that right tangy flavor. As much as I loved slathering it with more bbq sauce, it was good without that. ๐Ÿ˜›

Decadent Brownie a la Mode (P 168)

White Toblerone Cheesecake (P 148)

Would you believe we still had room for dessert? When these two were placed on the table, you can’t help but take a bite. Theย Decadent Brownie a la Mode really lived up to being decadent. I liked how the ice cream balanced the sweetness of the brownie. Surprisingly, I preferred theirย White Toblerone Cheesecake. I am not really a fan of white chocolate because it tends to be really sweet. But this one surprisingly wasn’t. If compared to the other dessert, this wasn’t as sweet as that one. I guess it was balanced by the cheesecake. Overall, both were good sweets to end your rib city journey here. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This resto truly deserves that title. It really was the main highlight of our night.ย As much as there are good ribs in the city, getting affordable ones could be quite hard to find. I did find the prices of the dishes here good as not only are they good for sharing but also delicious. It really is the worth-your-every-buck kind of deal. Ambiance was very chill and the service was good. Yup, it was definitely good vibes and pure RBCTY goodness that will get you rib-handed too. ๐Ÿ˜‰
