The Marco Polo Ortigas Manila Staycation Experience

Looking for a fun and relaxing staycation in the city? Look no further and check in at this luxurious hotel in the heart of Metro Manila. Awarded with a five-star rating from Forbes Travel Guide, your stay here would truly be world-class. Here’s what Frank Reichenbach, who is the General Manager of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila and recipient of the 2016 General Manager of the Year (ASEAN Region) Award, has to say about receiving the coveted rating.

To be one of the two hotels in Manila that received the Five Star rating is a great pride for the hotel, the Marco Polo Hotels group, and the hospitality industry in Manila and the Philippines. This definitely raises the bar on how we provide luxury services to our clients. We will continue to live and exceed guest expectations in terms of service and facilities. Our Forbes Travel Guide Five Star ranking will definitely boost business and will give us the marketing advantage, which will have a positive impact in all aspects of the hotel.

So just how luxurious was my stay there? Let me tell you that down from the lobby up to the rooms and their restaurants, service was impeccable. Even though we had a minor problem, they handled it with such finesse and professionalism that no wonder they got that rating!

And this lobby is located at the 24F. Yep, you’ll be checking in at that level. Wow!

This staycation was very timely and needed for me. I was actually sick back then and was advised by the doctor to rest. So imagine my excitement when we finally got to the room and saw that majestic white bed. Ughhh…it was just so comfy there. I wanted to snuggle up and cover myself in those comfy white sheets. Yeah, I have a thing for white sheets. And that sounded weird or creepy. So just enjoy the random photos I took of the room below. 😀

Free apples! Yay!

Three complimentary Nespresso capsules. And water 🙂

Time to check out the bathroom!

Check out the view!

The room was really modern and sleek. I liked how the interiors exude this sense of elegance yet making it comfortable. As much as I wanted to stay in, there were lots of things to do. One can have a fun afternoon tea at Connect Lounge, enjoy an amazing view of the city at Vu’s or relax with a cup of coffee at Cafe Pronto. For dinner, I suggest to have it at Lung Hin where you’ll get authentic and delicious Cantonese dishes. And for a really hearty breakfast, Cucina is the way to go. Yes, all food for a foodie like me. Haha. Despite being sick (so sorry for my sick face), I still managed to take a video of our staycation experience there. 🙂

Happy me! 🙂

Ah…’twas a short stay. But a great one at that! After our tummies were filled and souls relaxed, it was time to bid this 5-star hotel adieu. It really should be more of a “see you again soon” right? With their efficient and friendly staff (seriously, everyone was smiling and willing to give a helping hand), anyone would simply go back and have an excellent staycation experience. 😉
