And it was pure cuteness overload at this cafe! Ever since they opened in Singapore, I’ve made a mental note to visit and try the dishes here. Good thing my friend was psyched for this too. Now…enter the cuteness Gudetama madness! 😀
Every nook and cranny of this restaurant was Gudetama-filled! I wish I could stop taking photos but I couldn’t. Everything was just so darn cute! Its interiors was well thought out. It even had some movements going on its walls which I took a video of. I really couldn’t help it. 😉
They also have this other side which really serves more as their cafe. It was closed that time but the fellows here allowed us to take photos. Yeah…we were lurking behind the corner so they invited us in. Yay! 😀
Aren’t the dishes just oh-so-cute! I had the latter dish and yes, I wanted something that looked cute. And that ends my review.
Just kidding! In terms of taste, the steak was a little tough to slice. I requested mine to be medium rare which bordered a little on being rare. The sauce paired well with the steak so did the veggies. But something was amiss about this. It was filling and the serving was huge. But for its price, I know I could have gotten a better steak. My friend had their Eggs Benedict which probably is their most Instagram-worthy dish. She wasn’t too fond of it either.
Complimentary butter cookies! To be honest, I enjoyed this more than their dishes. Oops 😛 I liked the right balance of taste on those cookies. What’s the best thing about this? It’s free!
Before going here, I did my research. I read multiple reviews so my expectations were pretty much settled. In terms of serving, it is good for sharing. Service was quite good too. But being a character cafe, I guess that amped up the prices of their dishes. I did find it to be expensive. The other side, which was more of their cafe scene, looked more promising that the actual restaurant.
