Quick ice cream run at Bernie’s

It was purely an ice cream run at this joint. This was after a heavy meal at a nearby ramen place that we had to have something sweet to cap everything off. With a take out counter on the side, we decided to step foot at this place for a little sweet downtime.

I liked how the place was casually stylish. It makes for dining really have this relaxed feel.

All their ice cream offers are priced at PhP 99.00 per scoop. One could have toppings over it for an additional PhP 20.00. That’s unlimited so you may have all of the toppings to your heart’s content. Before choosing what ice cream flavor or topping, one could have a taste first. For that afternoon, we had three flavors that day, namely, Mango Graham, Pistachio and Vanilla Espresso.

All the flavors were good though I liked their Vanilla Espresso the best. The balance of flavor was there with the espresso not overpowering. Non-coffee drinkers would probably like this as the coffee taste was a bit muted. It did have an icy texture which I didn’t like so much. But overall, ice cream here wasn’t that bad.

If I’m not mistaken, this restaurant is fairly new. It does have a lot of offers aside from their ice cream ones. I did notice that it geared on the expensive side so in terms of competition, other nearby restos might have an upper hand on that.
