‘Twas a night of good food and amazing art! As The Nest: Dining in the Sky turns 4, they have decided to partner up with renowned photographer, Niccolo Cosme, and feature his “Beauty that Moves” work. And let me tell you, his works were absolutely amazing! Aside from it being captivating all by itself, it was made even more amazing with augmented reality. I like how technology nowadays amp up art. It just makes it more interactive and breathtaking. Indeed, it was beauty that moves. 🙂
I was so glad that we can take home some of the pieces as they were sold as art cards. All proceeds for the sold cards will go to Teach Peace Build Peace Movement. With their aim to “make every Filipino Child and Youth a Peace Builder”, the organization is currently having psychosocial peace-building activities for the children in Marawi. The situation maybe dire over there but with this seemingly small act, we can help rebuild that peace especially with the kids. Niccolo Cosme highlighted on how we can and should help as this is everybody’s concern. I strongly agree with him, and felt his passion for this cause radiating from him.
As I’ve said, the pieces alone were a sight to hold. With the app Artivive, the artworks came to life. Just watch the video below to see what I mean. 😉
AMAZINGGGGGG! 😀 Featured until August 4 only, it’s never too late to witness these stunning pieces and even take home some. And even if it’s past that, The Nest is still one place to be. Aside from seeing Niccolo Cosme’s works, we got to taste some good food too.
All the dishes served were really good, and apt for the event. My favorite dishes that night was their Porchetta and Seafood Paella. Their sweet ending to it all, their truffles, was very good too.
Whether you’re here for the art exhibit, food or the view, every moment spent here would be absolutely worth it. Priding themselves as the first 5-star hotel in the south, one would experience that Pinoy comfort at the Vivere Hotel. And while you’re here, dine at The Nest where you would feel cozy, warm and cared for. Much like a nest 🙂
