This place transformed itself. My family and I were able to dine here a few years ago during my non-blogging days. It looked very different. Its interiors were very simple with a no fuss type of dining style. Just some white tables and chairs that one would liken it to a fast food joint. Fast forward to now, it completely transformed. It now has this classy yet homey vibe that entices families and friends to dine in. Let’s look at the rest of their warm and inviting interiors.
This is indeed my 2nd take on this specific branch. I have dined at their Ayala Triangle Branch where the interiors are quite similar to this. I do prefer the branch over here at the Alabang Town Center. Not only is it near to my place but it just feels very cozy here.
I liked that they have group meals that’s perfect for either a small or big bunch. We opted for their Famiglia Quattro (priced at PhP 1,340) which is good for 4 to 6 persons. It consisted of Italian Chips, Margherita Pizza, Spaghetti Aglio Olio Grande, Pollo Arrostito (half), 4 cups of rice pilaf and 4 glasses of iced tea.
This had a slight taste which was pleasing to the tongue. It matched our savory dish that day.
I didn’t expect this kind of chip. To be honest, I didn’t expect anything when they said Italian Chips. This was actually quite good as a starter. With or without the dip, it was good to prepare for the other dishes. Also notable on this was that it wasn’t oily at all.
They did this pizza just right. Its crust was a little on the thick side but it matched well with the sauce and other ingredients in. This is one of those safe and reliable orders at this resto.
This pasta was good but lacking in toppings. I liked how well seasoned it was, and how the pasta noodles itself tasted very much of that Aglio Olio taste. It really was just lacking in toppings.
Not sure if it was the sauce but this was a little bland for me. The chicken was very tender but it would have been better for the sauce to seep in through that chicken.
There are a couple of hits and misses on their group meal. I guess that’s one of the downfalls of set meals where you get a mix of hits and misses. I do think that’s unintentional as every restaurant aspires to bring out their best dishes. And Amici did just that. Though I wished we went ahead with just choosing every dish but the set meals were just a steal price. It is a good introduction for Amici newbies but for me, I would probably go for their other dishes.
