Yes folks, you read that right. I was on TV! Waaahhhh! 😀 If I had a bucket list for my blogger stint, this definitely tops the list. I mean, when do you get the chance to be on television and to be watched by people around the metro right? Even up to now, I couldn’t believe this actually happened. Everything was like a dream for me. Or maybe it was due to the lack of sleep I had the day before (and not because I was excited but because of my work shift. Okay…I was a little excited 😉 ).
When I received the email from the program researcher of GMA News and Public Affairs, I couldn’t believe it. I had to reread the email several times before I sent my reply. When I did, I instantly filed my vacation leave. It’s one of those invitations you don’t say no to.
The call time was very early at 7 am. Meet up place was at GMA Network Inc. So yeah, I had to wake up extra early to head there. Good thing they did the make-up and the hair as I might not have the energy to fix myself. For those that are unfamiliar with the show, Pop Talk has been running for a couple of years now on GMA News TV (Channel 11). Hosted by Tonipet Gaba (aka: Kuya Tonipet), the 30-minute review show features restaurants, getaways or even gadgets. Along with the host are three other reviewers, namely, a celebrity, an expert and a blogger.
We looked so adorable in our onesies that it deserved that group photo. Hehehe. So lucky to be with these two reviewers, Koreen Medina and Chef Winston Luna. To see how we rated the restos for that day, check out the clips below. 🙂
At first, I felt awkward. I didn’t know what to say or how I should I say it. But as the day progressed, I got more comfortable. I got into the zone of saying my opinions on the dishes served that day. 🙂

It was a long and food-filled day. My tummy was close to bursting. All those stops (3 to be exact) was shot in one day so yeah, I wasn’t prepared for it. Haha. This is surely one for the books! So glad to have been part of this episode and of the show. I am truly grateful to the whole crew. It was a pleasure being with my fellow reviewers and hearing Tonipet Gaba’s insights on food (he sure knows a lot and I bow to that). So for the rest of this week, I shall post the restos we reviewed so stay tuned. 😉
