I have always liked the offers of Pinkberry. I can still remember my first cup of this when it was still new here in the Philippines. I liked how their frozen yogurt wasn’t as tarty as others were. Fast forward to now, they have definitely expanded their offers to more than just froyos. During last last month’s looloo rendezvoos (yeah I know, super delayed post 😦 ), we were able to try the Cookies & Cream flavor of their light milk ice cream, Pinkbee’s.
I had them added some Mango Popping Boba, mochi and waffle (just because it looks nice on photos. Haha). The ice cream itself was very light. It’s comparable to those soft-served ice creams sold at convenience stores. In terms of flavor, one could easily mistake it for a chocolate flavor. The taste of cookies n’ cream was very light that you have to let the cold treat stay on your tongue longer. It was creamy but like I said, it’s comparable to those sold at convenience stores. #JustSaying
And this is where Pinkberry shines. I was tempted to try the flavored ones but I miss their original flavor so I had that one instead. Besides, its best to have this and those toppings so as to enjoy the flavor more. I liked how it was creamy, sweet and a bit tarty. I do prefer those really tarty froyos but this one ain’t bad. They were able to balance that sweetness and tartness in.
I really liked the intention of Pinkberry to have a different offer with their Pinkbee’s. Aside from their ice cream options, they have smoothies to boot. I just wish they could’ve made their Pinkbee’s more distinct compared to others in the market. As new flavors for it come out, those might hold more promise than their Cookies & Cream one.
