Frozen yogurts continue to be popular here in the Philippines. You could very well say that it’s the move towards healthier alternatives. I, for one, am one of those people who wants to eat healthy. It’s getting easier to find such treats. And llaollao is one good addition to this.
There are a couple of seats (not photographed) but it’s really more of a take-out counter type. It only opened this month here in Alabang and people have been visiting this spot. It does have a bright counter and a prime spot in the food court. They have lots of toppings to choose from including fruit ones which I wasn’t able to take a picture of.
I opted to try their plain froyo with just one topping. I went for their black chocolate sauce which hardened when it was drizzled over the froyo. Something must be said about their spoon for it looked like a leaf. I wasn’t able to take a single photo of it since the served stuck it on the froyo already. I liked the froyo for it geared on being tarty but not too tarty. It had the right level of creaminess for a frozen yogurt. It paired well with the sauce for it added that slight sweetness to it. It wasn’t cloying that I could have multiple bites of it.
I could sense that more people would be flocking here. It’s one of those treats that is simply guilt free. Well, it depends on the topping that you would put in. But it does feel light and really is a good snack or dessert after a good stroll in the mall. If you just want to have a quick snack/dessert that’s really guilt free, their Petitllao (P49) is the one for you. But if you’re feeling adventurous in experimenting with more toppings, then their Sanum (P199) could be your pick. With 3 fruits, 2 crunches and 1 sauce, I’ll probably have that on my next visit. 😛
