Chicken craving satisfied over at Gringo

Ever had this massive craving for a certain dish that you totally can’t describe? It’s that feeling of knowing you want something but the problem is, you don’t know what that something is. Not sure if I’m being vague but I get that from time to time. Sometimes, I just want something to satisfy me. And when I do get to have that something, I instantly have that aha moment when I get satisfied. That’s what happened when my friends and I dropped by this chicken joint. Without knowing that I had this chicken craving, little did I know that I was going in for a sweet treat.

We went on a Saturday afternoon where the crowd was slow at that time. It was my 2nd time visiting this place. The 1st time was during a weekday at dinnertime. The place was packed and abuzz. So, it was a fresh sight to see it all serene and still. The overall feel was very casual where you could have endless hours with your buddies just chatting and gorging on delish food.

Nacho Grande (P265)

GET THIS!!! I say that with much passion and glee. One of my friends even went on the record in saying that it’s the best nacho that he’s had. It was just so tasty with all those toppings in. This is definitely good for sharing but I bet I could finish this on my own. πŸ˜›

Gringo Southern Spice Chicken (Quarter with 2 sides at P235)
Roasted squash
Mexican rice

I wanted to try their original chicken but my friend said that this was better than that. On its own, the chicken was flavorful and tender. I had no problems deboning it. It came with some sauces with the other one being spicy. Those additions did amp up the flavor but it didn’t need those. It was good on its own. They have other size options for this, and a lot of sidings to choose from. You could also opt to not have any sides for this one.

Just writing about this is making me crave for those nachos and chicken. Hahaha. I was also able to try out their ribs which were pretty fantastic. I remember getting my hands dirty for that one. And I wouldn’t mind a repeat of that. The dishes here are just darn good that it’s more enjoyable with friends. It’s the perfect hangout to either end a stressful week or to just have some little downtime. πŸ™‚
