No questions, Just Thai

There are very few Thai restos on our side of town. Come to think of it, there are very few good ones in the metro. I could distinctly remember one good place but it has been closed down for years now. I guess it also has something to do with the price point as these dishes (oddly enough) are actually on the pricey. It depends on your order really but finding a good one at a reasonable price is quite a feat.

The place was quite cozy with a somehow dark lighting. Not sure if it’s intended to set the mood up. It was decked in all these ornaments to make you feel that you’re dining in a Thai restaurant.

Poh Piah Tod (P 280)

Their Thai Spring Rolls were pretty good. These were fried well and was pretty good with the served sauce.

Gai Ob Bai Toey (P 320)

Their Pandan Wrapped Chicken is best eaten with the served sauce. The chicken itself was quite good though it didn’t have this pandan feel to it. Normally, I like dishes that didn’t need any condiments. And I expected not to add any on this.

Pad Thai (P 299)

This was a pretty good Pad Thai. Nothing stood out but it did stay true to that Pad Thai taste. It does get somehow cloying in the end.

Overall, it was just an okay dining experience. Maybe, we didn’t get to choose those good offers that time. But they do serve decent Thai food at reasonable prices. Nothing just stood out to me that time for me to really rave about it.
