For me, it has always been food. Ah…the thinking of a foodie? Hahaha. I can’t believe I labeled myself as such but I guess, I have always been a foodie. I remember when I was a kid, I would gorge on those sweet little treats when I used to have my summer vacation at my grandparents’ house. I have always had a sweet tooth which carried on to this very day. That’s why I was glad to have tried out Mister Donut’s Throwback Donuts offer for it reminisced me to my younger years. 😉
I remember snacking on multiple Haw Haw back in my high school years. It was just the perfect sweet and milky snack candy that time. And don’t get me started on those Flat Tops. A whole pack of it would be gone in just one sitting. Of course, Chocnut has always been close to my heart. I just couldn’t get enough of that chocolate and nut mix. So Mister Donut’s Choco Nutty Chocnut Donut definitely was the one for me. At first bite, there’s that subtle choco nutty taste. It has this chocolate filling which is more chocolatey than nutty. But when you include a bite of that chocnut above, WOW. It definitely made me want to take another bite. Okay, I’m a bit biased here coz I really just like Chocnut. Hahaha. And oh, you could grab any donut for P25. Not bad to reminisce on your childhood days. 😉
That day, I also got to try their baked bites. Priced at P15, it comes in caramel and cheese variant. Their bestseller is the caramel one which was good. But I liked the cheese better. It has a more dense feel and a cheesy taste too.
I got all these sweets from their BGC branch. Even though it was hot (their aircon was for repair), the staff were just the friendliest. I liked how well lit and clean this branch was. For sure, I’ll definitely be back here for some alone time or to reflect on more throwback moments. 🙂
