I hardly have my “me-time” these days. What with all the things happening both work and non-work, the stress that it all brings is starting to get to me. With some time to spare before heading to an event, I decided to have some me time at this cafe.
I liked the interiors of the restaurants with all those golden details. I was surprised that a cafe like this is in a mall. Normally, it would be situated at a different area. When I entered inside the cafe, it felt like I wasn’t in a mall. Yes, I was transported to a place where I could be one with my thoughts and enjoy the food. Speaking of which, let’s get right on to their comfort food and specialty coffee.
For that day, I wanted something simple and not so heavy. I ended up choosing this which had that Bluesmith Coffee & Kitchen stamp. It geared on being slightly heavy (hehehe) but damn, that pasta was good! The taste of the chorizo wasn’t overpowering. The sautéed tomatoes and kesong puti balanced that flavor out. I liked the simple of this one. Ugh, just looking at it makes me want to have another serving.
Veering away from my usual coffee choices, I opted for their Hot Dirty Chai. I liked the mix of espresso and chai on this drink. You could really taste the mild & fragrant chai but it just blended nicely with their coffee.
I wanted to try out their pancakes or waffles but alas, my tummy was full. Maybe I’ll try those during my 2nd alone time here. Yes, it was a well-spent me time. I just love having those solitary moments with myself. There were other solo diners too so I felt just right at home. As much as it is good to dine solo, it’s a good place to bond with your friends over some really good food and coffee to boot. 🙂
