Otaru Music Box Museum: A room full of wonderful sounds

Do you ever imagine being in a room full of sounds? Not the blaring type where your ears will burst. It’s the cool and gentle type that would almost lull you to sleep. It was a mix of that when I entered Otaru Music Box Museum. Upon entering, I had to be careful with my belongings. I didn’t want an accident to happen where my bag or camera will accidentally make a precious music box fall and shatter to pieces. Luckily, none of that happened. And I got to explore this seemingly magical place of sounds.

This is one of those tourist spots that you shouldn’t miss when in Otaru. As much as there are many sights here, this should be ticked off from your list. Whether you buy a music box as a remembrance or admire the craftsmanship behind it, you’ll surely have a lovely and musical time at this museum.
