I have always wanted to dine at Wildflour‘s offshoot cafe. But I couldn’t find a good timing to do so. On one sunny Wednesday morning, I was around BGC then so I decided to have my brunch here. How about I get some Little Flour dish on my hungry belly then? 😛
The place was pretty full when I got there. It was nearing lunch time but for me, it would be brunch for I haven’t eaten anything yet. I opted to sit inside since it was so hot that day. When I finally got a seat, I got to see that famous chair decor on their ceiling. It made me stare in awe and be afraid at the same time. Haha. It had this very warm vibe inside and reminiscent of Wildflour.
This serving didn’t disappoint. I loved how frothy it was yet having that espresso kick in and wake me up good.
I didn’t expect this dish to have two eggs. And I didn’t expect it to be a lot! It may seem small on the photo but man, was this bowl filling! This had roasted mushrooms, pickled vegetables, kecap manis, sambal, whole grains and black rice. It was so flavor and so good! As much as I wanted to finish every bite, I left about two spoonfuls of serving there. Yeah, I had to make room for dessert. 😛
Do you see the ube and pastry there? So generous right?!?! I couldn’t believe it myself either. Yes, this is what I came here for at this cafe. I wanted to try their bombolonis for I heard it was awesome. And yes, it tasted awesome. I loved how the ube filling wasn’t that smooth. There were still these chunks that make it enjoyable for me. The overall taste was just right. It wasn’t that sweet and cloying. They also have a hazelnut version of this which I am looking forward to trying as well.
‘Twas a nice time as this cafe. They also have new branch all the way in Salcedo Village which is good so that I can grab more of their pastries. 😛 I do recommend that you reserve before dining here. The place does get packed especially during lunch hour. It does border on being pricey but you do get quality and great tasting dishes. Plus, overall vibe was just nice. It’s a little lively with all the people here. But I can just imagine this cafe in the afternoon while enjoying a good bomboloni (or any pastry here) with a good cup of coffee. 🙂
