Dining at the famous Newport Seafood Restaurant

Yes, this restaurant is pretty popular. There are lots of articles that feature its dishes because it’s just so damn good. It was even part of the Netflix show Ugly Delicious. But why is this restaurant famous?

Lunch menu as of November 2018

The interiors of this place definitely has changed. We have dined here before during our first trip to the US. It had this very casual vibe back then. Now, it still has that vibe but I liked how they made it more warm and a little classy. It even has its own logo now with the lobster icon on. Now, time for some good eating.

Fried Noodle with Seafood ($ 9.75)

Fish Fillet with Basil ($ 9.75)

Beef with Chinese Broccoli ($ 8.25)

Clams with Black Bean Sauce ($ 9.25)

Salt and Pepper Fried Pork Chop ($ 8.25)

Kong Pao Chicken ($ 8.25)

Salt and Pepper Fried Shrimp ($ 9.25)

No, we didn’t have the lobster. When we actually dined here (even before), I didn’t know they were famous for that. It was only after watching that episode from Ugly Delicious did I learn that lobster was one of their specialties. Since we had a lot of dishes that day, I won’t go in detail about each. They do have one thing in common: they all tasted great! I couldn’t pick a favorite though I have a little bias over their seafood dishes. All were so flavorful that would make you want more. No wonder this place gets packed during lunch hour. Their service is fast, and you’ll surely get your money’s worth for every dish.

As I look at the photos now, it just makes me want to dine there again. Even though I have to fly miles to get there, it’s going to be worth that (plus, I get to tour again right? ๐Ÿ˜€ ). Maybe next time I’ll try their lobster. And yes, I’ll definitely have more than just that. ๐Ÿ˜‰
